Back up your journal

Open My journal → Download a backup and choose a location in Files. Keep a copy outside CraftDesk before replacing your phone or removing the app. Backup files can contain private business notes and monetary amounts.

Restore a backup

Choose Restore a backup on first launch, or open the restore section in My journal. Choose your CraftDesk JSON file, review the preview, then choose Restore shows. Identical shows are skipped; changed versions are retained separately. Cancelling leaves your journal unchanged. The transfer limit is 20 MB.

Use your journal offline

The iPhone beta includes its interface and saves the journal on your device. Weather needs internet access and location permission.

The beta is still being verified on physical iPhones. Keep an external backup while testing.

Weather is missing

Weather is optional. Capture is attempted for an eligible show on its date when a precise location confirms you are near its full US street address. Denied permission, weak location accuracy, an unavailable service, or a missing recent observation can leave weather unrecorded. You can still save notes and recaps.

A save or restore fails

Keep the editor open and retain your entered text. Do not uninstall CraftDesk to troubleshoot: removing the app can remove its journal. If saved data cannot be read, use the available recovery export before taking further steps.

Contact support

Include the app version, iOS version, what you were doing, and the error message. Please do not include your full journal, private notes, monetary amounts, or precise location unless needed and specifically requested. Redact screenshots before sending them.
