CraftDesk

Effective September 16, 2026

Your journal, your information.

This policy covers the CraftDesk iPhone beta and this support website, operated by Brian Goodwin. Contact support@craftdeskapp.com for privacy questions or requests.

Your journal stays on your device

CraftDesk saves your business name, shows, addresses, notes, money entries, recaps, and weather snapshots locally. It does not provide a CraftDesk account or automatic journal synchronization. Your device's operating-system backup settings may include app data.

The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. It does not send your full journal, notes, or money entries to the weather service. The beta does not send journal content to an AI provider.

Backups you choose to export

Export creates a JSON copy through Apple's Files interface. You choose its destination. Files saved to iCloud Drive or another provider are subject to that provider's policies. Import reads a file you select and previews the records before restoring them.

Optional weather and location

When you open an eligible show on its date, CraftDesk may attempt to capture weather. It requests location permission when needed and uses precise location to check that you are near the show. You can decline permission or disable it in iOS Settings and continue using the journal.

Over an encrypted connection, the app sends the show's date and saved address/location, phone coordinates, location accuracy, and location timestamp to the CraftDesk weather service hosted by Cloudflare. The service uses this information to validate proximity and retrieve conditions. It returns a weather snapshot and attribution for your journal.

For address matching, the service may send a normalized street address, city, state, and ZIP code to the US Census geocoder. It sends matched venue coordinates rounded to four decimal places to the National Weather Service to find weather stations and observations. It does not explicitly forward the phone's raw GPS coordinates to those providers.

Service and website records

Cloudflare processes network information such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the website and weather service. Weather-service invocation logging is enabled. CraftDesk's application code does not intentionally log request bodies or store a server-side journal. This website uses no added analytics scripts, advertising scripts, or contact form.

Hosting and upstream providers control their own operational and security logs and retention. National Weather Service policy allows certain logs to be preserved indefinitely for security. We do not promise immediate deletion of provider-controlled records. See Cloudflare's privacy policy, Census's privacy policy, and the National Weather Service privacy policy.

Support messages

If you email support, Zoho Mail processes your email address, message, and any attachments for us. We use them to respond and resolve your request. Please share only what is needed. Correspondence may be retained for support follow-up; contact us to request its deletion, subject to any legal or security obligations. See Zoho's privacy policy.

Delete or control your information

You can manage entries within the app and revoke location access in iOS Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading the app is different and can retain it. Before deleting the app, export anything you wish to keep. Separately remove exported files, provider trash copies, and device/cloud backups through the services where you saved them. CraftDesk cannot delete those copies for you.

We cannot remotely retrieve your local journal. Contact support for questions about information you sent us, access or deletion requests, or other privacy rights available where you live.

Policy updates

We will publish changes here with an updated effective date as CraftDesk evolves.
